Same Vibe. Same Crew. New Season.

We’re Back 🌬️

So… we haven’t written anything here for a few months.

And honestly? There is a very good reason for that.

Everyone was traveling.

As many of you know, October and November are that time of the year. The wind in the Netherlands slows down a bit, the days get shorter, and suddenly everyone starts looking at flight tickets instead of wind forecasts. And before you know it, the Wavers crew is spread all over the world.

Some of us went to Brazil.

Some of us chose Tarifa.

Some of us are currently in Peru.

And a few of us went all the way to the other side of the world to soak up the sun and wind … Australia!

Sun, wind, waves, and long kite days became the daily routine.

And now, in January, a big group of Wavers, and many other kiters, are living the Cape Town dream. Strong wind, beautiful scenery, cold water, warm vibes. A place that gives you everything kitesurfing is about.

But slowly… we’re coming back.

Some are already back in the Netherlands. Some will return in February. And that means one thing: a new season is starting.

Same vibe, same energy!

2026 is here, and Wavers is moving into its second year.

We celebrated our one-year anniversary in September 2025 (yes, time flies when there’s wind). Now we’re already heading towards the middle of our second year as a club. And what hasn’t changed at all is the energy.

Kiting together.

Helping each other on the beach and in the water.

Sharing sessions, laughs, gear, advice, and sometimes hot tea in the parking lot.

That’s what Wavers is about. We are not just here to kite. We are here to look out for each other.

Brazil

A reminder we ALL need.

Lately, we’ve all seen the news. Experienced kiters getting into serious accidents. All over the world.

It’s a hard reminder that no matter how good you are, no matter how long you’ve been kiting, this is still an extreme sport. The ocean doesn’t care how many years you’ve been riding… The wind doesn’t care how confident you feel that day…

And Mother Nature? She’s beautiful, powerful, and unpredictable…

Tarifa, Spain
Jan, Wilhelm and Beth in Tarifa! Strong wind, shared sessions, pure energy.

So as we start this new season, we want to say this clearly and from the heart:

Enjoy kitesurfing to the fullest. But never take it lightly. Check on each other.

Speak up if something feels off. Help someone land or launch, even if you’re tired. Wait if conditions are sketchy. Respect your limits, and the limits of others.

Why we do this?

We kite because it gives us freedom. Because it connects us to the ocean. Because nothing feels quite like riding on water with the wind pulling you forward.

That connection is special. And it’s worth protecting.

Wavers exists to make that connection stronger, not just with the sport, but with each other.

So let’s make 2026 another great year. More sessions. More progress. More smiles.

And most importantly: more safe rides home.

We’re back. We’re ready.

And we can’t wait to see you on the water 💙
